How to configure notifications
BattleTest can notify you per event, per channel. Configure everything at Settings → Notifications. For the full list of events and their default channels, see the Notification Events reference.
Channels

The GitHub PR comment is always posted regardless of these settings. It is the primary output of a PR review, not a notification channel.
Turn a notification on or off
Section titled “Turn a notification on or off”Open the Notifications tab
Go to Settings → Notifications. Events are grouped by category (Change Reviews, Live testing, Billing & Plan, Account & Security, Team & Organization, Integrations, Run Rooms), each with a master toggle.
Toggle the channel for an event
Each event has an email, push, and in-app toggle. Switch the channel on or off for that event.
Some security- and money-critical events (a password change, an ownership transfer, a failed payment on an account that still has billing records) keep email locked on; you can add channels but not remove email. These are marked in the Notification Events reference.
Enable browser push
Section titled “Enable browser push”Toggle push on for any event
The first time you enable a push toggle, your browser asks for notification permission.
Allow notifications
Click Allow. If you previously blocked notifications for the BattleTest domain, re-enable them in your browser’s site settings first, then toggle push again.
Push notifications carry a one-tap action where one helps (Review & approve on a paused battletest, View finding on a confirmed vulnerability) that deep-links straight to the right page.
Install BattleTest as an app
Section titled “Install BattleTest as an app”BattleTest is a Progressive Web App, so you can install it for a dedicated window and reliable push notifications even when no browser tab is open.
Open BattleTest in a supported browser
Use Chrome, Edge, or another Chromium browser on desktop, or Safari / Chrome on mobile.
Install
On desktop, click the install icon in the address bar (or the browser menu → Install BattleTest). On iOS Safari, use Share → Add to Home Screen.
Grant notification permission
Open the installed app and enable a push toggle if you haven’t already, so alerts arrive even when the app is closed.
See your notifications in the app
Section titled “See your notifications in the app”The notification bell in the dashboard header shows your in-app feed with an unread count. Open it to read recent notifications, jump to the related page from a notification’s action, or mark items as read (individually or all at once).
Get finding data into your own systems
Section titled “Get finding data into your own systems”Per-channel notifications are for humans. To pull finding data into a spreadsheet, a ticket tracker, or your own reporting, export it instead. See How to export findings.
Not receiving emails?
Section titled “Not receiving emails?”Check your spam folder; the first email from [email protected] is sometimes filtered. Add the address to your contacts. See Troubleshooting if it persists.
