Set up email delivery

Obtain the relay hostname, port, authentication credentials, and an allowed sender address from your email administrator. Confirm the API can reach the relay.

  1. Open Settings → Providers → Email transport → Configure.
  2. Enter SMTP host and Port. Use 587 for STARTTLS or 465 for implicit TLS. Use port 25 only when your internal relay requires it.
  3. Set Implicit TLS to match the relay. Enter the username and password if authentication is required.
  4. Enter From address. The relay must allow this sender.
  5. Enter a recipient under Send the test message to, then select Test connection. This sends a test email and checks relay access, authentication, and message acceptance. Message acceptance does not confirm inbox delivery.
  6. Select Save connection.

The connection applies to the entire deployment. Pasted passwords are encrypted at rest. When you reopen the dialog, saved · leave blank to keep means the stored password is retained for testing and saving. To replace it, enter a new password.

Open Settings → Notifications to select your account’s optional notification events and channels. Required account messages use the configured relay. See Configure notification preferences.

A saved connection without a current test appears as Untested. If a test fails, check the error, sender address, relay access, and credentials. See SMTP field reference.
