Set up source control

Open Settings → Integrations and select Add source-control connection. Name the connection and choose the provider. Connections are shared across the deployment; repository access remains subject to organisation membership and provider permissions.

  • For a native GitHub App connection, follow Set up GitHub as source control.
  • For GitLab, use a token with the api scope and select the BattleTest organisation that receives its reviews. See Connect GitLab.
  • For the universal gateway, configure the gateway URL, provider, endpoint, authentication method, and organisation. See SCM gateway settings.
  1. Enter the provider credentials and any repository used for testing.
  2. Select Test connection and read each result. The checks depend on the selected provider.
  3. Select Save connection.
  4. Configure the provider webhook using the URL and secret in the dialog. Native GitHub uses its GitHub webhook URL; gateway connections use their connection-specific callback.
  5. Open Change Reviews. Confirm a repository is accessible, then open or update a source change to verify event delivery.

A saved connection is configuration. A passing credential test, repository discovery, and webhook delivery verify different parts of the review workflow.
